The most comfortable & portable hot tub available!

Stay hydrated while you hot tub

Whether it is 8 glasses a day, your body weight in ounces or any of the other calculations out there, drinking water is a must. Your body is made up of mostly water, so it stands to reason that water is what it needs to function properly. Soaking in hot tubs can increase your risk for dehydration. The hot water is causing your body to use systems that take up more water than usual. Softub accessories include a floating drink holder. In addition, the hot water can mask some of the signs of dehydration, putting you at added risk. To avoid any potential problems, you should make sure that you stay hydrated and be mindful of dehydration symptoms.

What are the symptoms?

One of the most common symptoms of dehydration is actually feeling thirsty. If your body is having to tell you to take a drink, then it is already feeling a need. Headaches, light headedness or a tired feeling can all be signs of mild dehydration. Hopefully it doesn’t progress, but rapid heart rate, fever, lethargy and fainting can point to moderate and severe dehydration. None of these symptoms are things that you want to experience while trying to enjoy your Softub. So, be sure to stay hydrated.

Tips for Staying Hydrated

Take a water bottle

Take a water bottle with you on the go. Buying a reusable water bottle and literally carrying it with you is one of the best ways to stay hydrated. When you have a water bottle in hand you will consciously, and subconsciously, drink it keeping you hydrated without much effort.

Drink a bottle of water before and after activity

If you are going to be exercising you should drink a bottle of water before, during and after your activity. The same is true when you soak in your Softub t140. The hot water creates many of the same results as exercise; increased heart rate, increased blood flow, etc. These things deplete more of the water that is in your body and should be quickly replaced to avoid dehydration.

Make it fun

Plain old water can be boring. Try switching up your water intake with some infused or sparkling water. This will give you something to look forward to and will break up the monotony of so much water.

Your body is 50-75% water and it needs to maintain that level to continue functioning the way it should. So whether you are soaking in your Softub Express soft spa, exercising or just running errands, keep yourself hydrated. You will enjoy your activity so much more.
